Surviving Covid-19

Only a few of the people who get covid die quickly. A much larger percentage have to live with the damage from the virus. I am currently dealing with an enlarged spleen and diminished venous return that also affects my heart.

But I have found one of the fastest ways to shut down an online conversation is to announce I am a long term covid survivor. Maskers and anti-maskers both want to argue theories of disease transmission. Very few want to talk about the reality of living with the aftermath of the disease.

This short piece only addresses heart, lung and neurological damage from the virus. He leaves out damage to other organs and to the immune system itself. Even so his numbers should make people stop and think:
