‘Something Elses’ Flipped the 2020 Election

I offer a heartfelt Thank You to all the ‘something elses’ who pray for the well being of all the children, regardless of who their ancestors are.

Over two hundred years ago Europeans based our American democratic process on the practices of the indigenous peoples. A higher percentage of Native Americans serve in the armed forces than any other ethnic group. Now we are all indebted to them for recognizing and refusing fascism.

It was indigenous peoples who flipped key states and gave the Democratic party their 2020 victory. Far too many Americans are unaware that the ancient and profound traditions of people that were casually labeled ‘something else’ by the media are still vibrantly alive. Most Pueblo ceremonies are not allowed to be recorded or shared, but perhaps sharing this will help to begin to erode the widespread ignorance of our indigenous peoples.
